UPDATE 15th February 2024: The call for mentors is now closed.
We're excited to announce the launch of our mentorship program in 2024. The call for mentors is now open, welcoming experienced individuals to contribute to the growth of aspiring female and non-binary architects.
If you're ready to apply - click here or scroll to the bottom of this post. To find out more about the program, please read on.
Why Mentorship Matters
Mentorship is a cornerstone in any professional journey, where experienced individuals offer guidance, support, and a wealth of knowledge to those earlier in their careers. Having a mentor can be a game-changer - providing insights, real-world experiences, and a roadmap for successful professional advancement.
How Will Ladies Be Architects' Mentorship Program Work?
At the close of our open call for mentors, the Ladies Be Architects team will convene to review your application, and perform a matching exercise against our current cohort of successful Ladies Be Architects scholars. If we have more suitable mentors than scholars, we will further open up the program for non-scholars to apply to become mentees.
In the application form, you can let us know about your availability to commit time to mentorship, meaning you can let us know if you're open to mentoring multiple individuals or if you'd rather commit to a 1-on-1 mentorship arrangement.
Once matched, we will introduce you to your matched scholar(s) / mentee(s). Scholars will be responsible for owning the mentorship relationship, it will be their responsibility to proactively schedule mentorship sessions with you where you can meet virtually - or, if location suits, even in person - on a regular basis. The mentoring relationship will be time-based, with your commitment ending at 12 months. Of course, if you wish to continue mentoring your matched scholar(s) or mentee(s) beyond this time, and you mutually agree to continue this relationship, that is totally ok.
Who Should Apply
The call for mentors is specifically extended to individuals with expertise in Salesforce architecture. If you have a passion for sharing your insights, shaping the future of the Architect Ohana, and contributing to the success of aspiring female and non-binary architects, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Your experience can make a significant difference in helping others navigate the complexities of Salesforce architecture.
You don't necessarily need to be at the pinnacle of your Salesforce architecture career, nor do you need to be a fulltime architect to provide meaningful mentorship - we're keen to hear from those of you who have some experience in Salesforce architecture, and are interested in giving back to help encourage and inspire those who are earlier in their journey.
